“The Joss House”

In Town

Weaverville is a charming, historic gold mining town. Wander among antique and specialty shops, art galleries and studios, an excellent museum with working blacksmith shop, and a variety of restaurants, delis and cafes.  One of our favorites is  Mamma Llama Coffeehouse, in the heart of the historic district.

Outdoors

You are at the foot of the Trinity Alps Wilderness Area and in the middle of the Trinity National Forest. How about a day hike to some fantastic scenery, cross country skiing in the winter, bicycle tours, a car tour of the scenic byways and the far-flung villages, horseback riding, or a simple picnic in the woods? Walk down to the creek below the house, or bike ride on the Weaver Basin Trail System, a round at the golf course, or try your luck gold panning.
Trinity County also is home to a number of local vineyards which all offer wine tasting during select hours.

On the Water

Can’t stay away from the water? How do you want it? Grab your fishing gear and head for your favorite stream or fishing hole on the river. Do you like your whitewater rafting wild or mild, would you like the challenge of world class kayaking? Or do you like your water large? Trinity and Lewiston lakes offer fishing, boating, jet skis, and water skiing.
